In Russia today, cat shows are organised by cat clubs. The clubs belong to different cat federations.

Everyone can choose what suits and interests them most. Shows differ in how well they are organised and judged, and in the federation they are held under. One of the main differences is the procedure and the judging method: European or American.
There are no good or bad cat federations, no right or wrong ones. There are different federations, and cat owners are free to show their cat in any of them, at any show. Each federation has its own rules for keeping records and running shows, and its own way of awarding show grades and titles.
Bear in mind that titles won in one federation can't be "transferred" to another. At the same time, nothing stops you showing a cat and collecting titles in two or more federations in parallel, so your cat could, for example, be a WCF Grand European Champion and a TICA Champion at the same time.
